Unbaked Ham, Cheese, and Green Onion Drop Biscuits
These savory drop biscuits are tender, buttery, and packed with diced ham, sharp cheddar, and fresh green onions. Since they’re “drop biscuits,” there’s no rolling or cutting—just mix, scoop, and bake. Using cold butter and avoiding overmixing helps keep them light and fluffy.

- Brush the hot biscuits with the melted garlic-parsley butter, if using.
- Serve warm.
Storage
- Refrigerator: Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
- Freezer: Freeze baked biscuits for up to 3 months. Reheat in a 350°F (175°C) oven for 8–10 minutes or microwave for 20–30 seconds.
Tips
- Keep the butter very cold for fluffier biscuits.
- Try swapping cheddar for Monterey Jack, Gruyère, or Pepper Jack.
- Add diced jalapeños or a pinch of cayenne for a spicy version.
- These biscuits are delicious with scrambled eggs, soups, chili, or as breakfast sandwich buns.
