🥩🦐 Surf and Turf Fettuccine Alfredo
A luxurious pasta dish combining tender steak, juicy shrimp, and creamy Parmesan Alfredo sauce tossed with silky fettuccine. It’s a restaurant-style meal perfect for special dinners or a comforting indulgence.
Ingredients
Steak & Shrimp
- 1 lb steak (sirloin, ribeye, or filet), cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (optional)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
Alfredo Pasta
- 12 oz fettuccine pasta
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup pasta water (as needed)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Pinch of nutmeg (optional)
Instructions
1. Cook the fettuccine
- Boil pasta in salted water until al dente.
- Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
2. Cook the steak
- Pat steak pieces dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Cajun seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat.
- Sear steak for 2–4 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking.
- Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the shrimp
- Add butter to the same skillet.
- Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add shrimp and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink.
- Add lemon juice and parsley.
- Remove shrimp and set aside.
4. Make the Alfredo sauce
- Melt butter in the skillet.
- Add garlic and cook briefly.
- Pour in heavy cream and simmer for 3–5 minutes.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Add pasta water if needed to reach a creamy consistency.
5. Combine
- Add cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce.
- Toss until coated.
- Top with steak and shrimp.
- Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan.
