🇩🇪 Heidesand (German Shortbread Cookies)
Heidesand are classic German Christmas cookies known for their delicate, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture. The name means “heath sand” because the cookies are said to resemble the fine sand of the northern German heathlands. Their secret is browned butter, which gives them a rich, nutty aroma.
