Instructions
1. Bake the Cake Layer
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line an 8-inch springform pan.

- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
- Add flour mixture alternately with milk.

2. Make Blackberry Puree
- Cook blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice over medium heat for 5–8 minutes.
- Blend and strain to remove seeds.
- Cool slightly.
3. Prepare the Mousse
- Sprinkle gelatin over cold water and let bloom for 5 minutes.
- Warm blackberry puree and stir in gelatin until dissolved.
- Cool to room temperature.
- Whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.

4. Assemble the Cake
- Place cooled cake layer in a springform pan.
