- Β½ tsp dried thyme
- ΒΌ tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Make the Patties
- In a large bowl, combine:
- Ground beef
- Breadcrumbs
- Egg
- Milk
- Grated onion
- Garlic
- Worcestershire sauce
- Dijon mustard
- Onion powder
- Garlic powder
- Salt and pepper
- Mix gently until just combined.
- Shape into 4β6 oval patties.
2. Brown the Steaks
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook patties for about 4β5 minutes per side, until nicely browned.
- Transfer to a plate (they’ll finish cooking in the gravy).
3. Cook the Onions
- Melt butter in the same skillet.
- Add sliced onions.

- Stir in minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
4. Make the Gravy
- Sprinkle flour over the onions.
- Stir constantly for 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in beef broth until smooth.
- Add:
- Worcestershire sauce
- Soy sauce (if using)
- Thyme
- Pepper
- Simmer for 3β5 minutes until the gravy thickens.
5. Finish the Dish
- Return the patties to the skillet.
- Spoon gravy over each steak.
