For the Chicken

For the Rice
- 1Β½ cups long-grain white rice
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon butter
- Β½ teaspoon salt

- Fresh parsley, chopped

1. Season the Chicken
Pat the chicken dry. Mix garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, salt, pepper, and flour. Coat each piece evenly.
2. Sear the Chicken
Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear the chicken for 4β5 minutes per side until golden brown. It doesn’t need to be fully cooked.
Transfer to a plate.
3. Make the Gravy
In the same skillet:
- Melt butter.
- Cook onions for 8β10 minutes until soft and caramelized.
- Stir in garlic for 30 seconds.
- Sprinkle flour over onions and cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in chicken broth.
- Add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, paprika, and heavy cream.

4. Finish the Chicken
Return the chicken to the skillet.
Spoon gravy over the chicken.

5. Cook the Rice
While the chicken cooks:
- Bring chicken broth, butter, and salt to a boil.
- Stir in rice.
- Cover and reduce heat to low.
- Cook for 18 minutes.
